Simple, cost-effective and convenient.
What to expect with a simple cremation? You can arrange a cremation online in just a few steps. Then we’ll coordinate the details and respectfully deliver the remains. There is no funeral service and no witnessing. We know losing a loved one is hard enough. So, our job is to make this part just a little easier.
Why choose a simple cremation? Everyone’s reasons for choosing a simple cremation are different. Choosing not to have a traditional funeral and visitation can reduce the cost and complexity during an already difficult time. Many families choose to keep it as simple as possible to honour their loved ones in their own ways. It’s also the most cost-effective way to say goodbye to a loved one. Or maybe you or your loved one don’t want the big funeral and would prefer to have a celebration of life after the fact, whenever you’re ready.
And what exactly is cremation? Put simply, cremation is a dignified way to reduce a body to its basic elements. With cremation, the body is exposed to extremely high temperatures until all organic matter is consumed. After about 90 minutes, all that’s left are bone fragments – the cremated remains, or “ashes” as they are commonly called. These cremated remains are then processed into finer particles and placed in an urn or container. The entire process can take up to three hours.
Is there a witnessing ceremony? No. When you make online cremation arrangements, you are choosing a simple cremation with no service and no witnessing ceremony. If you wish to witness the cremation, there are additional costs involved.
Can I put the ashes of my loved one in an urn? There is no cost to have the cremated remains returned to you in a temporary cardboard container. Of course, you are welcome to chose from any of our urns or keepsake jewellery, but there is an additional cost involved.
